Download the official ETC® Species Lists to correctly classify your entries and ensure compliance with all competition requirements and categories.
These lists have to be used in all bird, mammal and game head categories in Professional and Master Division. In order to know in which sub-categories (e.g. large birds B3, medium birds B2 or small birds B1) your mounts must be entered, you have to use these lists. (According to the Rules & Regulations under ETC® Species Lists, page 5)
Please note: If you pre-register a species not on the lists, put a remark “not on list” on the registration form. The final decision in which category your mount has to be entered, will be made on location by the competition chairman.
We kindly ask you to be familiar with the EU regulations and laws about handling and exhibition of endangered species. It’s the competitor/exhibitor’s own responsibility that no laws or regulations are violated during the ETC® competitions.
For CITES species the international regulations apply. All necessary documents must be uploaded in connection with the online registration process and must also be provided and shown upon request on location in Salzburg.
Please be aware that Annex A species of the Council Regulation (EC) No 338/97 (Cites Annex I, e.g. Loxodonta africana, Panthera pardus and Cites Annex II, e. g. Ursus arctos, Canis lupus), especially hunting trophies but museum specimens as well, need a Cites Document that certifies the “exempting Annex A specimens from the prohibitions relating to commercial activities listed in Article 8(1) of Regulation (EC) No 338/97”. Otherwise, you are not allowed to exhibit these species at commercial events like taxidermy competitions or game fairs. Some informal permit of an authority or a museum is not enough.
